Applications are now being taken for the 2012 junior golf camp for students currently in the 4th through 8th grade.  The camp is to be held at the Broken Bow Country Club.  No forms will be accepted that are not postmarked or delivered in person by May 11, 2012.  Participation will be limited to the first fifty applicants.  There will be two different camps held at the same time.

·   There will be a fundamentals camp for beginning golfers.  They will be learning basic skills and basic rules, play a few holes during the third and fourth Tuesdays, and participate in the closing tournament.

·   There will be a players’ camp which will last 2 hours or longer every Tuesday morning.  Players will have a mini lesson on techniques of golf and rules and course management, then play four or five holes competing for flag prizes.

·   The closing tournament will be held as usual on June 28:  Beginners play three holes; 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from players camp play six holes and 7th and 8th graders from players camp play nine holes.

There is again no charge for the camp.  It will be held on the following Tuesday mornings:  May 31, June 7, June 14, June 21 and ending June 28 with a tournament.  Letters will be sent out shortly after registration with more specifics regarding times to meet for camp, and where the campers are to meet and be picked up.  Tee times for the tournament will be handed out the week before the tournament.
